Project 75: Week Two - When Art Meets Fitness
Share
What an incredible second week of Project 75! While the days seemed to fly by in a whirlwind of activity, I'm amazed at how much was packed into these seven days. From radio appearances to live painting events, this week proved that maintaining a strict fitness routine doesn't mean putting other passions on hold.
Finding My Morning Rhythm
The dreaded 7 AM wake-up call is becoming less daunting. There's something satisfying about watching myself adapt to this new schedule, gradually transitioning my nighttime activities to the morning hours. The adjustment hasn't been perfect, but it's progress worth celebrating.
My training sessions have been particularly rewarding this week. I've felt strong and energized throughout my workouts, and the daily walks with Kimchi continue to be a highlight of my day. What's most surprising is how well-rested I've felt despite the packed schedule of training clients and teaching art classes.
On Air with Pure Ibiza Dubai
Friday morning brought an exciting opportunity when I was invited to speak on Pure Ibiza Dubai (94.7) about my Project 75 journey. A special thank you to Abdo and Shona for having me on their show β your enthusiasm and support made sharing my story such a wonderful experience. Being able to discuss my fitness transformation in such a public forum was surreal, especially as someone who typically expresses themselves through visual art.
Al Quoz Art Fest Weekend
The weekend brought another kind of energy with the Al Quoz Art Fest at Al Serkal, one of the year's most anticipated events in Dubai's art district. The atmosphere was electric, with creativity flowing through every corner of the venue.
Live Painting at Wild and the Moon
Sunday's live painting session for Wild and the Moon was a particular highlight. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to Wild and the Moon, and especially to Sasha, for this amazing opportunity. There's something magical about creating art in real-time, and making it interactive added an extra layer of excitement. Having the audience join me in painting an owl β Wild and the Moon's spirit animal β created a beautiful moment of community and shared creativity.
Balancing Act
This week has been a powerful reminder that pursuing fitness goals doesn't mean sacrificing other passions. If anything, the discipline from Project 75 has helped me structure my days better, allowing me to seize opportunities I might have otherwise found overwhelming.
The combination of radio appearances, live painting events, and maintaining my workout routine could have been exhausting, but surprisingly, I felt energized throughout. Perhaps it's the consistent training, the better sleep schedule, or maybe it's just the momentum of positive changes coming together.
Gratitude
I feel immensely grateful for how this week unfolded. Having platforms to share both my fitness journey and my art with the world is not something I take for granted. These opportunities to connect with people through different mediums β radio, live art, and social media β have added an unexpected dimension to my Project 75 experience.
As I move into week three, I'm carrying forward this energy and gratitude. The challenge is teaching me that with proper planning and dedication, there's room for everything that matters β fitness, art, career, and personal growth.
Here's to more weeks of breaking limits and embracing opportunities! π¨πͺ
