Week 8: Pushing Boundaries & Finding Joy
Share
As I reflect on Week 8 of my 75 Hard journey, I'm struck by how much fun I had while continuing to challenge myself. This week brought new energy to my routine and helped me see just how far I've come.
Training with a Professional
The highlight of my week was definitely having my friend Shrav, who is also a personal trainer, join me at the gym for three days. We spent time filming content together and pushing each other during our workouts. Having a knowledgeable training partner motivated me to test my limits in ways I might not have done alone.
Strength Gains & Visible Progress
This week I really pushed the boundaries of my strength and was thrilled with the results. What's even more exciting is that I'm finally noticing visible changes in my physique. These physical transformations are tangible proof of the consistent work I've been putting in.
Adjusting My Training Split
For these final weeks of the challenge, I'm making a strategic adjustment to my routine by increasing my core work. Instead of dedicating just one day to abs, I'll be incorporating core exercises three times weekly: Tuesday (Pull day), Thursday (Pull day) and Saturday (My regular core and cardio day).
This adjustment should help me finish strong and target an area I want to develop further.
Nutrition Focus: Protein Intake
I've successfully increased my protein intake and plan to maintain this higher level. Though consuming enough protein has been challenging at times, I'm grateful for protein powders that make hitting my daily targets more manageable. This nutritional discipline is paying off in my recovery and muscle development.
Weekend Highlight: Iftar Dinner
The weekend ended on a perfect note with an iftar dinner at my best friend's home. She prepared a wonderful spread, and the evening provided both delicious food and meaningful connection—the ideal way to wrap up the week and begin a new one.
Looking Ahead to Week 9
As I enter Week 9, the end of this 75 Hard challenge is getting closer, but I'm already thinking beyond the finish line. What started as a challenge has evolved into a lifestyle I genuinely enjoy. I'm excited not just to complete these 75 days but to carry these habits forward into my daily life.
The routines I've established have become something I look forward to rather than obligations I need to check off. That transformation might be the most significant victory of all.
