Week 9: Consistency and Adaptation
Share
As I move through Week 9 of my 75 Hard journey, I find myself in a rhythm of consistency while still making room for necessary adaptations.
Finding Flexibility Within Consistency
This week was marked by steady progress without many dramatic changes. The one notable shift came over the weekend when my body and mind were craving more home time. Rather than forcing myself to go to the gym, I listened to this need and opted for a home workout routine instead. This decision allowed me to keep my body moving while honoring what I needed in the moment—a balance that feels sustainable for the long term.
Strength and Core Progress
Week 9 continued to show positive developments in my strength gains. The decision to incorporate more core work into my upper body days has proven to be highly effective. This small adjustment to my routine has made a noticeable difference, reinforcing how sometimes the most impactful changes aren't necessarily the biggest ones.
Contemplating an Extension
As I approach the final stretch of this challenge, I've been considering extending it by a few weeks. There's a persistent feeling that I could be doing more, pushing further, and achieving even greater results. I've decided to use Week 10 as a period of reflection—taking time to evaluate my goals, assess my progress, and determine how I want to proceed after the official challenge ends.
Physical Transformations
I'm starting to notice more definitive physical changes in my body. While I haven't done a formal photo comparison yet, I can feel and see differences that affirm all the work I've put in. I'm eager to create a side-by-side comparison to fully appreciate how my body has evolved over these nine weeks.
As I enter the final full week of this challenge, I'm grateful for how this process has taught me to balance structure with flexibility, consistency with self-compassion, and challenging myself while still listening to my body's needs.
